🚀 A proud moment for Calyo.

We were honoured to showcase our technology on Tuesday, 13 May 2025, at the London Stock Exchange as part of the official launch of the UK’s new ‘Engine for Growth’ defence innovation package – highlighting the critical role of deep tech SMEs in shaping the future of UK security and autonomy.

During the event hosted by Dame Julia Hoggett (CEO of the LSE) and the Rt Hon John Healey MP (UK Secretary of State for Defence), Calyo was namechecked in the keynote speech by the Secretary of State as one of the UK’s leading dual-use technology innovators.

Calyo was also featured in the newly released DASA Impact Report, produced by Beauhurst, which highlights the strategic and economic contribution of DASA-supported ventures to the UK economy. According to the report, DASA-backed companies have collectively:

  • Raised over £592M in additional investment
  • Created 1,843 jobs
  • Generated nearly £1B in Gross Value Added

DASA’s early support was instrumental in helping us transition from a promising prototype to a commercially viable technology. Their backing opened doors to follow-on funding and strategic partnerships.

Today, Calyo’s AI-enabled ultrasound sensing platform addresses real-world challenges across both defence and civilian sectors – from delivering redundant perception for autonomous systems to ensuring operational safety in degraded sensing environments.

Building the Future of Safe, Intelligent Mobility

At Calyo, we’re developing an AI-enabled 3D ultrasound sensing platform for safety-critical autonomy – delivering reliable, real-time spatial awareness where other sensors fall short.

From autonomous logistics to assistive navigation to defence UxVs, our perception platform is designed for operation in fog, dust, darkness, and complex real-world conditions – enabling redundant perception and collision avoidance across sectors.

We’re grateful to the Defence and Security Accelerator (DASA) for their early and continued support, and proud to stand alongside other UK innovators pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in autonomous systems.
